New to DPS IToD/CToDAud/ESLI/TVIs will: Identify specific roles and responsibilities for their particular role within DPS. Go through the department manual and all onboarding processes. Understand processess related to IEP development and service documentation, and become familiar with responsibilities such as caseload management, and compliance with required district processes.
New OT/PT/APE hires will: Demonstrate a foundational understandingn of DPS values and equity commitments, be equipped with the necessary resources and onboarding support, develop proficiency in processess related to IEP development and service documentation, and become familiar with responsibilities including equipment procedures, caseload management, and compliance with required district processes.
New School Counseling hires will: Become familiar with induction and licensure requirements, roles and responsibilities through the Growth and Performance Frame (GPS) and departmental resources and systems specific to School Counseling.
New to DPS School Nurses will: Become familiar with school nurse roles and responsibilities within DPS, review requirements for licensure and induction for school nurses, and become familiar with the evaluation process, through the nursing Growth and Performance Framework, and Measures of Student Outcomes.
New to DPS School Social Workers and School Psychologists/Interns will: Become familiar with induction and licensure requrements, roles and responsibilities through the Growth and Performance Frame (GPS) and departmental resources and systems specific to Mental Health and Student Well-Being.
New to DPS SLPs will: Idenitfy SLP roles and responsiblities within DPS, become familiar with departmental resources and systems, and develop proficiency in special education processes related to multi-tiered sysems of support (MTSS), case management, student evaluations, IEP development, and service documentation.
